Honoring Peace and Unity: Celebrating Gandhi Jayanti with Tribute and Reflection

On 2nd October 2024, Kendriya Vidyalaya Baramulla celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, highlighting his principles of peace, non-violence, and truth.
The program began with a ceremonial garlanding of Gandhiji’s portrait, followed by a prayer service that included Gandhi’s favorite devotional songs. Students and teachers participated actively, sharing speeches on the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, emphasizing his contributions to India’s freedom struggle and his vision for a peaceful and united world.
Various cultural activities were organized, including skits, poem recitations, and a special dance performance depicting Gandhi’s journey and the values he stood for. A quiz competition was also held, where students showcased their knowledge about Gandhi’s philosophy and his role in shaping modern India.
